Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a massive game, perhaps too massive for its own good. If this is your first time playing a game in the Xeno series, then you might be intimidated by the ludicrous amount of systems the game has to offer. I don’t really get the aggro system yet. I’m 140h in the game and lvl 99 I play mostly with Zeke, Tora, and Rex. My problem is that in fights mostly Zeke gets the aggro I even tried to use Colorful Feather or Metal Nopon Mask but even then Zeke got the aggro too much.
When a party member is the target of an enemy’s aggro, they will lose 2 points of aggro for every 1 point of damage received from that enemy under normal circumstances. So if somebody pulls aggro off the tank and they get hurt enough damage by the enemy, aggro will return to the tank (provided they do nothing else to produce aggro).
It may seem worse, but you can try controlling your tank directly. The computer won’t keep cancelling arts on Rex. There are mods and accessories that increase Aggro too. Not sure where in the story you are, but Tora at end game gets access to a very offensive option. Controlling that directly should help to keep the red circle on Tora.

Play Tiger Tiger more and get him higher level Aggro Draw parts. Get Tora a Nopon or Metal Nopon mask, Get some Aggro draw arts, the Glittering Stars Skill ram parts and Flash skill ram parts and put them in poppi. Glittering stars gives aggro every second, and Flash lets you start with a bunch of aggro already accumulated.
